Remembrance Day, Holiday Hours and Parking

The Canadian flag will be flown at half-mast at Victoria City Hall from sunrise to sunset on November 11 to mark Remembrance Day.

Vancouver Island residents are being encouraged to stay home and watch a special ceremony from the provincial capital that will be broadcast on CHEK TV at 10:30 a.m. In past years, the event has been attended by up to 10,000 people.

Royal Canadian Legion's Digital Poppy Campaign

Check out the Royal Canadian Legion's digital poppy campaign where you can honour veterans by dedicating a virtual poppy in memory of their name. Poppies are available at a range of local venues. 

Holiday Hours and Parking

City of Victoria facilities will be observing the holiday schedule below for Remembrance Day. Police, fire and those who provide emergency streets and utility services are available 24/7.
