Building Community Through Virtual Lunch & Learns

The fall edition of My Great Neighbourhood Community Virtuals will kick off on Wednesday, September 15, with the first session focusing on graffiti and what residents can do to help keep the city clean using the City’s VTAG (Victoria Together Against Graffiti) program.

VTAG started 10 years ago to assist residents in the removal of graffiti from their neighbourhoods. During this Community Virtual, participants can learn more about how the program helps neighbours and local businesses come together to maintain neighbourhood spaces.

The October 20 session will showcase the City’s Local Champions program that builds foundational skills, confidence and connections, helping residents become more active and engaged in their neighbourhood. On November 17 join in to learn more about Zero Waste Victoria and ways you can help tackle our waste challenges.

“The Community Virtuals lunch and learn series focuses on topics to help build strong, resilient neighbourhoods, fostering personal connections within communities,” said Kerri Moore, Head of Business and Community Relations. “The turn out for past events have been great and we’re happy that we can continue to develop community connections online.”
