Welcoming City Community Forum is June 7

Newcomers, immigrants, refugees and Indigenous, Black, Asian and other Persons of Colour, are invited to join Mayor Lisa Helps and Councillor Sharmarke Dubow in a virtual dialogue to share ideas and lived experiences to help inform the development of the City of Victoria’s Welcoming City Strategy.

We want to hear from those whose voices are often under-represented in community discussions.

Welcoming City Community Forum

Monday, June 7
5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Zoom Meeting
Meeting ID: 907 662 1753

The community forum is free to attend and registration is not required. The virtual event will not be recorded.

The Welcoming City Strategy will serve as a roadmap for making Victoria a stronger, more inclusive city where everyone is accepted, respected and feels like they belong. The Strategy will be designed to remove barriers to City services and foster a compassionate community where racism and discrimination are tackled head on, and everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Learn more.

We hope you can join us.
