City of Victoria 2020 Annual Report

A public meeting will be held during the regularly scheduled Council meeting in the CRD Boardroom at 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria, BC, on THURSDAY, June 24, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. to provide the public with an opportunity to make submissions to and ask questions of City Council and City Officials regarding the City of Victoria’s 2020 Annual Report.

Notice of Council Meeting Location: March 4, 2021 to August 5, 2021

To accommodate renovations to the City of Victoria’s HVAC system, from March 4 to August 5, meetings of Council will be held in the CRD’s 6th floor Boardroom at 625 Fisgard Street.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Trust

The City of Victoria, as a trustee, is seeking the opinion, advice, or direction of the BC Supreme Court on the following question:

“Can the land known as Beacon Hill Park, held in trust by the City of Victoria, be used by persons experiencing homelessness for temporary sheltering?”

If you are interested in participating in this proceeding, you may deliver to the City a letter or email indicating the nature of your interest and your position on the question posed by the City. Letters or emails can be sent to the address listed above and should reference “Re: Beacon Hill Park Trust”. Letters or emails expressing interest in this matter must be received by the City by May 7, 2021.
