The City of Victoria is recruiting for three citizen appointees to serve a two-year term on the Greater Victoria Public Library Board.
Eligibility
A citizen appointee must have resided in the City of Victoria for at least six months preceding the appointment.

About the Board
The Greater Victoria Public Library Board provides joint management, maintenance, improvement, operation and control of library branches. The library has 12 locations in the Greater Victoria area including a Central Library in the heart of downtown Victoria and the sxʷeŋxʷəŋ təŋəxʷ James Bay Branch.
Membership
The GVPL Board consists of 19 members, including one Council member and four citizen appointees from the City of Victoria. Citizen appointees serve two-year terms to a maximum of four consecutive terms (or eight consecutive years).
Eligibility
A citizen appointee must have resided in the City of Victoria for at least six months preceding their appointment.
Time Commitment
Board meetings are held once a month (on a Tuesday) at the Central Branch in the Community Meeting Room at noon. The Central Branch is located at 735 Broughton Street. The Board does not meet in July and August.
