What You Need to Know: Victoria Day Parade

Latest News

The Victoria Day Parade takes place on Monday, May 20, starting at 9 a.m. This is Victoria’s longest running parade and features marching bands, community and commercial floats and cultural performances.

The parade will run along Douglas Street.

Getting to and from the event:
Expect traffic congestion downtown. Douglas Street (from Tolmie to Belleville) and streets one block out from Douglas will be closed during the parade. Roads will be reopened by VicPD as the parade moves through the route. Signage will be posted in areas where parking is affected.

Walking, cycling or taking BC Transit to the parade is recommended. On Monday, Douglas Street bus stops will be moved to Blanshard Street during the parade. The free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and parking will be free at City parkades and at on-street meters.
