Project scope
The City is upgrading an end-of-life sewer lift station on Government Street near the Discovery Street intersection. The project is expected to start in May 2026.
Why now?
Upgrading our underground assets helps serve our growing community, reduces future maintenance costs and protects critical infrastructure from earthquakes and climate events.
Project impacts
While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:
• Construction noise
• Traffic lane restrictions
• Temporary loss of some on-street parking
• Pedestrian and cycling restrictions
• Tree removal (to be replaced when the project concludes)
