Program Details
This six-part training series runs from March to September and is led by the City's Neighbourhood Team and guest presenters. There are 24 seats in this program for City of Victoria residents.
To make the program accessible to as many people as possible, Local Champions is being offered at a subsidized cost of $250 per participant (the market value is over $2,500).
In 2024, the City is sponsoring five spaces for residents interested in working on climate action projects, related to energy efficient homes.
If the $250 fee is a barrier, a limited number of sponsored spaces are also available, as well as transportation subsidies. Other accommodations are available upon request.
This recorded Local Champions Information Session can also help you decide if the program would be a good fit for you.
Applications are now closed for the 2024 Local Champions program.
Selected applicants will be notified by March 5 and the kick-off social event will take place on March 15.
