Local Champions Program

The Local Champions program helps residents learn how to become active community leaders and foster engaged neighbourhoods.

It is a six-part training series that runs from April to September, led by the City's Neighbourhood Team and guest presenters.

Participants gain hands-on experience in community organizing and facilitation. Sessions focus on building practical skills, confidence and relationships. Participants act as project leaders for community initiatives. After graduation, Local Champions are equipped to take part in local projects and associations.
