Commercial Loading Permits

Vehicles using commercial loading zones in the City of Victoria require a permit. Permits allow drivers of commercial vehicles to use commercial loading zones,  20-minute meter spaces and some passenger zones for loading and unloading. 

Permit Types

Commercial vehicles less than six metres in length

  • $100 per year (plus GST)
  • For use while actively loading and unloading at 20-minute meter spaces, commercial loading zones and passenger zones
  • Allows for a marked service vehicle to re-meter at any regular metered space while performing a service
  • Valid for one calendar year (January to December)

  • $300 per year (plus GST)
  • For use while actively loading and unloading at truck loading zones, commercial loading zones and passenger zones after 4 p.m.
  • Valid for one calendar year (January to December)

Permit decals are available for purchase at the Public Service Centre at City Hall. The fine for parking in a commercial loading zone without a permit is $80 or $50 if paid within 14 days.
