Bike Parking

Bike racks to lock your bike are available throughout Victoria. Improved bike parking options include the free Downtown Bike Valet, participating Borrow a Bike Lock locations and all City parkades which offer free, covered bike parking.

Downtown Victoria Bike Valet

This coat-check style service provides a convenient and secure parking option for people riding and rolling and is located on Pandora Avenue between Government and Douglas Street at Centennial Square.

The free bike valet accommodates all active transportation devices including adaptive bikes, cargo bikes, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other personal mobility devices.

Borrow a Bike Lock

High-quality u-locks are available to borrow at 26 locations across Victoria. Check in with staff to borrow a lock for free while you visit.

Remember: Cable locks don’t cut it. U-locks locked to the bottom of the rack are the safest way to secure your bike.

Register Your Bike

Register your bike for free with 529 Garage, the registration system used by the Victoria Police Department, to help recover your bike in case it gets stolen.

If your bike is stolen, report it to VicPD to get a case number and alert the community through the 529 Garage app.

Register Your Bike

Help deter bike theft by purchasing a 529 Garage shield. These are available at any local bike shop in the City of Victoria. You can also get one for free with easy registration at the Downtown Victoria Bike Valet.

Request a Bike Rack on Public Property

The City makes and installs simple, secure, inverted U-style bicycle racks on public property that can accommodate two bikes at a time. They can also be installed in series to create additional parking. The City does not sell bike racks to private property owners.
