Beyond the Curb

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Beyond the Curb pilot throughout 2025. The program helped thousands of residents recycle flexible plastics, foam packaging, small appliances, home goods and textiles — materials that are often difficult to recycle elsewhere.

Following the pilot’s conclusion in 2025, the City reviewed funding opportunities, operational demands, internal capacity and competing priorities for the coming year. While the program will not continue in 2026, the pilot provided valuable insight into how residents use drop-off recycling services.
