Victoria’s commercial portfolio is a mix of storefront retail, restaurants, office and bare land holdings. City-owned land — including the City’s commercial properties — are managed by the Strategic Real Estate department.
Revenue generated through the leasing and licensing of commercial space is used to further City priorities such as arts and culture, active transportation, parks and open spaces, affordable housing and revenue generation.
The City may, in certain circumstances, provide charitable donation receipts in exchange for land that is donated for use as parks, natural areas or other purposes.
