NeighbourSpace Application Form - Non-Profits

The NeighbourSpace is a great resource for local non-profit organizations and groups of residents who live in Victoria and are focused on community building. The NeighbourSpace may be used for community building activities, casual gatherings and meetings. Due to high demand, users may only book the space once per month. 

Once your application has been approved, you will receive a User Agreement Form that you will need to sign and return. 

Ineligible Users and Activities 

As guided by City policies, the following users and activities are not permitted: 

  • For-profit organizations, businesses or consultants 
  • All organizations or groups delivering services to residents, including but not limited to health care, social services, counselling or other professional or therapeutic support programs 
  • Groups charging admission or participation fees 
  • Political groups or partisan activities 
  • Physical recreational activities 
  • Activities intended to convert or recruit individuals to a religion, cause or group 
  • Activities that promote hate, discrimination or civil disobedience 
  • Public rallies, demonstrations or the planning of such activities 
  • Activities that violate any City bylaw, or provincial or federal law 

Note: The City evaluates requests on a case-by-case basis and may decline bookings that are unsuitable, inconsistent with City policy or beyond operational capacity.
