Accessible Parking

Victoria has more than 100 accessible public parking spaces located throughout the city. These provide short-term parking for residents and visitors with a valid Parking Permit for People with Disabilities.

Accessible parking spaces are available on-street, at all City parkades, parks and major parking lots.

The map below shows the location and details of accessible public parking spaces and passenger loading zones in the City of Victoria. Click the arrows (>>) in the top left corner of the map to see the legend.

Vehicles displaying a valid BC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities receive one hour of free parking in on-street pay parking spaces (except 20-minute meters and designated accessible parking spaces) and in City parkades.

Accessible Parking Passes

The City of Victoria offers accessible parking passes to support people with disabilities parking in our downtown core. These are valid at all on-street pay parking spaces except 20-minute meters and designated accessible parking spaces.

Passes can be purchased at the Public Service Centre at City Hall, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A valid BC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities must be presented at the time of purchase.

  • Monthly Pass ($60/month): unlimited parking access at any on-street pay parking space seven days a week, 24 hours per day (excluding 20-minute meters and designated accessible parking spaces). This permit is specifically for people who work or attend school in the downtown core; a letter from the employer or school is required.
  • Single Day Pass ($4/day): all-day access for any on-street pay parking space (excluding 20-minute meters and designated accessible parking spaces). These can be purchased in advance and in multiples.
  • Annual Pass ($20/year): drivers who are physically unable to use parking pay stations or the Park Victoria app may be eligible for the annual pass. Contact the Victoria Disability Resource Centre to confirm eligibility for this pass. A doctor's note is required for this type of parking pass.

Misuse of Accessible Parking Permits

A valid BC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities, or other recognized disability exemption, is required to use an accessible parking space. Permits may only be used when the permit holder is in the vehicle and must be up to date. Otherwise, your vehicle will be ticketed and towed.
