Festival Project Grant

Since 1999, the City's Festival Project Grant (formerly called Festival Investment Grants) has seen more than $4.4 million in grants nurture the development, sustainability and growth of high-quality annual festivals and celebrations. These festivals enhance the vibrancy, vitality and diverse character of Victoria, while supporting tourism, local businesses, and year-round economic activity. The pursuit of arts, culture and tourism opportunities is a key goal of the City’s Create Victoria Arts and Culture Master Plan.

In 2024, 46 events and celebrations received  $450,000 in City of Victoria Festival Investment Grants. Thanks to an extra $100,000, this was the largest annual amount yet.
