IDPAD Youth Grant Program

The City’s annual International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) Youth Grant is back for 2023. This year, projects can receive up to $10,000 in funding, up from $8,000 in 2022.

Applications are now closed. The IDPAD Advisory Committee will review all applications, evaluate them based on the application criteria and select projects to receive funding. 

Grant recipients will be announced on November 20, 2023 and funded activities, events, projects or programs will be delivered within 12 months of receiving funding.

To address anti-black racism, City Council adopted the International Decade for People of African Descent 2015-2024. Established in fall 2021, the City’s IDPAD Advisory Committee supports the Decade’s three themes: recognition, justice and development. Learn more.
