2024 IDPAD Youth Grant
The recipients of the City of Victoria’s annual International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) Youth Grant program have been selected for 2024. Five projects that celebrate and empower youth of African descent in Victoria have been awarded funding. Learn more below.
Background
To address anti-black racism, City Council adopted the International Decade for People of African Descent 2015-2024. Established in fall 2021, the City’s IDPAD Advisory Committee supports the Decade’s three themes: recognition, justice and development.
In 2024, five projects received a total of $25,000 in funding through the City’s third IDPAD Youth Grant. Learn more about the grant recipients, their projects and allocated funding.
