Banfield Park is located in Victoria West along the Gorge Waterway. There are tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, walking trails and access to the Galloping Goose Regional Trail and Selkirk Trestle. The park is home to Banfield Commons permaculture food forest and the Victoria West tea garden. Victoria West Community Centre is also located in the park.

Banfield Dock

Banfield Dock provides easy access to deep water for swimming and paddling in the Gorge Waterway. The newly expanded dock is a huge hit and has been well received by the community. In response to its popularity, the City has added more garbage bins, bike racks and a third accessible portable toilet.

Please follow these tips to help keep this shared community space clean and safe for the community and the environment:

  • Keep dogs on leash
  • Use the dock only while swimming or using watercraft
  • Take all belongings and trash with you
  • No glass containers
  • No large umbrellas or sun shelters
  • Leave the black walkway clear
  • Non-motorized small watercraft only
  • Don’t leave watercraft unattended
