The Pride Parade on Sunday, July 7 is an annual event that celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion. The parade will begin at 11 a.m.
Location:
The parade route will start at Douglas and Fisgard and head south on Douglas Street. It will turn right at Humboldt Street, left on Government Street, right on Belleville Street, left on Menzies, ending at Menzies and Kingston. Participants and spectators will then make their way to MacDonald Park. Festival in the Park can be accessed from Simcoe Street or Niagara Street.
Getting to and from the event:
The downtown areas surrounding the parade route will be very busy until approximately 2 p.m.
This event is located near Victoria's cycling network and close to multiple transit routes - check BC Transit for route options. The free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open. Capital Bike will be operating a free bike valet at MacDonald Park by the Niagara Street entrance. Walking to the event is also encouraged.
