Project scope
This summer, heat pumps will be installed in the Cook Street Village Activity Centre, the Fairfield Gonzales Community Place and the Victoria West Community Centre.
Why now?
The City is strengthening the community's ability to withstand the impacts of climate change. Heat pumps are energy efficient, electric devices used to heat and cool structures. These reliable cooling systems will help make our community facilities more resilient during extreme heat events. This project is funded by the provincial government’s Disaster Risk Reduction – Climate Adaptation grant.
