Project scope
In January 2026, the City will be replacing a water main on Glasgow Street between Tolmie Avenue and Finlayson Street. The project is expected to take three months to complete.
Why now?
Upgrading our underground assets helps serve our growing community, reduces future maintenance costs and protects critical infrastructure from earthquakes and climate events.
Project impacts:
While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:
• Construction noise
• Pedestrian restrictions
• Temporary loss of on-street parking
• Road closure (local access maintained)
• Occasional brief interruptions to water service (additional notice will be provided to impacted properties 48 hours prior)
