Awakening Chinatown will take place on Sunday, May 28 from noon to 5 p.m.

Join the Victoria Chinatown Museum Society for an afternoon that offers something for everyone including the traditional lion procession, kung-fu, dance, music, arts and crafts. Explore some of Chinatown’s diverse shops and eateries while wandering along Fisgard Street.

Where:

Awakening Chinatown will be held on the closed block of 500 Fisgard Street.

How to get there:

This event is located on Victoria's cycling network and close to multiple transit routes - check BC Transit for route options.

The free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and parking at City parkades is free on Sundays.

Road closures will be in place during the Lions Procession from approximately 1-4:30 p.m. Efforts will be made to minimize traffic disruption on Douglas, Pandora and Store streets as much as possible while supporting safety for the lions and spectators. We recommend taking Blanshard Street to enter and exit downtown during the event.
