City of Victoria facilities will be observing the holiday schedule below for the Canada Day long weekend. Police, fire and those who provide emergency streets and utility services are available 24/7.

Sunday, July 2 – Open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. due to staff shortages
Monday, July 3 – Open regular hours 5:30 a.m.- 9 p.m.

Organics and Garbage Collection
Organics and garbage collection will not occur on Monday, July 3. View your organics and garbage collection schedule here.
Saturday Garden Waste Drop-Off
On Saturday, July 1 the garden waste drop-off service at the Public Works Yard will be closed. Yard and garden waste is accepted in your curbside green bin.

Emergency Streets and Utilities Services
Emergency streets and utility services are not affected by the holiday and can be contacted day or night at 250.361.0400.
Parking
Victoria's Canada Day festivities are being held at the Inner Harbour on Saturday, July 1. Check out what’s planned at this community-led event: Canada Day Victoria.
Consider taking BC Transit who will be running extra buses on this day. During the event, Capital Bike will be hosting a free, secure bike valet that can be accessed off Government Street on the B.C. Legislature lawn. On Saturday, July 1, the free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open at City Hall from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Parking will be FREE at City parkades and at on-street meters for Canada Day on Saturday, July 1. Parkades will continue to be free on Sundays and statutory holidays.
