VICTORIA, B.C. — The City of Victoria invites residents and visitors to the Inner Harbour on July 1 for a full day of Canada Day celebrations, including food trucks, local performers, cultural activities and a fireworks finale.
“Canada Day at the Inner Harbour is a chance to come together and share in a day of music, culture and community,” said Mayor Marianne Alto. “It’s a day to connect, celebrate and take in the energy of the city.”
The free event begins at 11 a.m., with food trucks across the Inner Harbour and a Busking Showcase at Ship Point featuring local performers throughout the afternoon.
Programming at the Legislature stage begins at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome from the lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers, live music from Linggo, Bučan Bučan and Covers in a Dangerous Time, and DJ Boitano & Friends. The celebration concludes with fireworks over the Inner Harbour at 10:20 p.m. — the largest and longest display since Canada 150. Pack a light picnic or grab something from the food trucks, find a spot by the water and stay for the evening program and fireworks.
More information, including road closures and traffic impacts, will be shared ahead of July 1. For the schedule, event information or to get involved as a volunteer, visit canadadayvictoria.ca.
