The City is opening overnight emergency warming stations in two locations from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. tonight, December 29, in response to freezing temperatures in Victoria.
Locations:
- 1611 Quadra St./Parking lot at Quadra St. and Mason St. (tent and bus)
- Across the street from Salvation Army ARC (tent only)
Snacks and hot drinks are available. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
City warming tents and buses open when all other shelters are full, exposure risks are active and there are people in need with nowhere else to seek shelter.

As part of the Emergency Weather Response, our partners at the Salvation Army ARC are adding 30 extra shelter mats this evening at 525 Johnson Street from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. The shelter is co ed. No pets please.
