VICTORIA, B.C. — The City of Victoria has launched a new suite of digital tools designed to make it easier to navigate development and permitting processes.
Improvements include a new virtual assistant, a permit finder tool and more online application services through eApply. These updates make the permitting process easier to understand and more accessible, helping people move forward with confidence and turn their ideas into homes, businesses and community amenities across our city.
The City’s Virtual Assistant, Vic, is available online 24/7 to provide quick answers to many questions about zoning, permits and development.
The permit finder helps applicants determine what type of permit they need, providing a clear starting point for projects.
The City has also moved more permits into eApply, its online application system, to provide a more streamlined way to submit applications, with clear requirements.
These updates are part of the City’s Development Process Review project, focused on making the development and permitting process clearer, more consistent and more efficient. This project is funded through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s Housing Accelerator Fund.
