The Canadian flag will be lowered to half-mast at City Hall and all City buildings on Remembrance Day to honour those who have served our country. We express our heartfelt gratitude for those who have made sacrifices so we may live with peace and freedom.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
The Province’s official Remembrance Day Ceremony, organized by the Victoria Remembrance Day Committee Poppy Fund, will be held on Monday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Victoria Cenotaph at the B.C. Legislature on Belleville Street.
Road Closures
Road closures will be in effect on Friday, November 11 from approximately 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and will include:
• Government Street from Fort to Superior Street
• Belleville Street from Menzies to Douglas Street
• Wharf Street from Fort to Government Street
• Humboldt Street from Government to Gordon Street
Poppy Campaign
Poppies are available by donation at locations across the City. Donations can also be made to the Digital Poppy Campaign.

Parking
Free parking at City parkades and on-street meters on Monday, November 11. Pay parking will be in effect at the City's surface parking lots.
Parking is always free at City parkades on Sundays and after 8 p.m. On-street parking is always free after 8 p.m.
