The Canadian flag will be lowered to half-mast at City Hall and all City buildings on Remembrance Day, November 11, to honour those who have served our country. We express our heartfelt gratitude for those who have made sacrifices so we may live with peace and freedom.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
The Remembrance Day parade and ceremony will take place along the Inner Harbour and at the Legislative Cenotaph on November 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The event is organized by the Victoria Poppy Fund Society.
Road closures in the surrounding area along Wharf, Humboldt, Government and Belleville Streets will be in place from 10 a.m. to noon. You can expect traffic and parking impacts. Follow directions from signs and crews.
City of Victoria facilities will be observing the holiday schedule below for Remembrance Day. Police, fire and emergency streets and utility services are available 24/7.

Parking
Parking will be free at City parkades and at on-street meters for Remembrance Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11. City of Victoria parkades are always free on Sundays, holidays and daily after 8 p.m. Learn more about parking downtown.
