PUBLIC HEARING: 2120 Quadra Street – Development Permit with Variances
Following a Public Hearing, Council voted to approve a Development Permit with Variances for 2120 Quadra Street. This application will allow for construction a four-storey mixed-use commercial building consisting of ground floor manufacturing and commercial space and warehouse uses above. 

PUBLIC HEARING: 1125 Fort Street – Development Permit with Variances
Following a Public Hearing, Council voted to approve a Development Permit with Variances for 1125 Fort Street. This application will allow for the construction of multiple dwellings with a parking variances.

PUBLIC HEARING: 515 and 519 Rithet Street– Development Permit with Variances
Following a Public Hearing, Council voted to approve a Development Permit with Variances for 515 and 519 Rithet Street. This application will allow for the construction of multiple dwelling building with variances. The variances are related to site coverage and setbacks.

Missing Middle Housing Initiative: Zoning Regulation Bylaw and Official Community Plan Bylaw Amendments and Policy Updates 
Council voted to refer this matter to a Committee of the Whole meeting in the last quarter of 2022 to consider in the context of new provincial legislation with respect to increasing housing supply that has been signalled by the Province and other considerations of concern to the new Council. 

Rise and Report from the Closed Meeting held September 1, 2022
Council approveda licence agreement with the Harbour Cats baseball club for use of the Royal Athletic Park on a five-year term with an option to renew the term for a further three years.

Council Member Motion - Advocacy for Emergency Planning for Multi-Unit Housing
The Mayor will write,on behalf of Council, to the Solicitor General of British Columbia, copying the Premier and the Minister responsible for housing, supporting strata corporation participation in disaster planning, preparation and response.
