City of Victoria facilities will observe the Victoria Day holiday schedule as outlined below. The Police and Fire Departments plus those providing emergency street and utility services will be available 24/7.

Curbside Organics and Garbage Collection
No collection on Monday, May 19. Please refer to the Waste Collection webpage.
Saturday Yard and Garden Waste Drop-Off
The yard and garden waste drop-off program will be open on Saturday, May 17. Please refer to the Yard & Garden Waste webpage.
Emergency Streets and Utilities Services
Emergency streets and utility services will not be affected by the holiday. These services can be contacted anytime at 250.361.0400.
Parking
Parking is free at City parkades and on-street meters all day on Monday, May 19. City of Victoria parkades are always free on Sundays, holidays and daily after 8 p.m. Learn more about parking downtown.
On-street parking will not be available along the Victoria Day Parade route (Douglas Street from Tolmie Ave. to Belleville St.). Consider walking, cycling or taking BC Transit downtown. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and is extremely popular, so plan to arrive early!
Downtown Bike Valet
- Friday, May 16 – 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday, May 17 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sunday, May 18 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Monday, May 19 – 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (holiday hours)
