The Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade will make its way through downtown on Monday, May 19, celebrating 125 years of community spirit and cultural pride.

The parade features more than 100 entries, including marching bands, community and commercial floats and vibrant cultural performances. Thousands are expected to line the streets for this high-energy tradition that brings our city to life each year

When: Monday, May 19, 9 a.m.
Where: The parade route begins at Douglas and Finlayson, continuing down Douglas Street all the way to Courtney Street.

Road closures:
Douglas Street (from Tolmie Ave. to Belleville St.) and cross streets will be closed during the parade. Roads will reopen as the parade moves through, with VicPD managing traffic along the way. Signage will be posted in areas where parking is affected.

Getting to and from the event: 
Walking, cycling or taking the bus to the parade is recommended. The free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and parking will be free at City parkades and at on-street meters.
