Victoria Day Parade: What You Need to Know

The Victoria Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 22. This is Victoria’s longest running parade and features talented marching bands, community and commercial floats and cultural performances. Following the parade, activities will take place in Centennial Square from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where: 
The parade will run along Douglas Street. It will begin at Finlayson at 9 a.m. and continue along Douglas, finishing at Courtney. 

Getting to and from the event:
Douglas Street and streets one block out from Douglas will be closed during the parade. Roads will be reopened by VicPD as the parade moves through the route.  
 
Expect traffic congestion downtown. Walking, cycling or taking BC Transit to the parade is recommended.  

On Monday, May 22 the free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and parking will be free at City parkades and at on-street meters. On-street parking will not be available along the parade route on Monday.  

Please arrive early as the parade is extremely popular!
