Street performers, musicians and entertainers: get ready to take center stage! The City of Victoria is launching the 2025 Busking Program, introducing designated Busk Stops, community building opportunities and special busking showcases.
Want to Busk in Victoria? Here’s How!
- Get Your Busking License - Visit City Hall with two pieces of ID, pay a $25 fee and complete the application form. Once approved, you're ready to perform!
- Know the Bylaw - You can busk between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., and you're allowed up to two hours in one location before moving at least two blocks away. Amplification isn't allowed, except at Ship Point.
- Find Your Spot and Start Performing - Choose from designated or popular busking locations across the city.
Optional: Audition for the Elevated Busk Stops - Licensed buskers can apply to perform at premium Busk Stops. The jurying process involves a live audition and selected performers will receive a $50 honorarium.

The City invites all street performers – musicians, dancers and entertainers to attend the upcoming Info Session and Buskers Mixer to learn more about the program. Audition details for the Elevated Busk Stops will be released soon.
