The City of Victoria mailed out property tax notices in early May. There are many convenient ways to pay your property taxes, which are due on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
- Online Banking (recommended): Pay through your financial institution’s online banking system using the folio number located at the top left of your tax notice as the account number. Check your institution’s local cut-off time to ensure payment is received by July 2, 2026.
- Mail: Mail your cheque and the bottom portion of your tax notice to:

V8W 1P6 - Drop Box: Located at City Hall near the Pandora Avenue entrance and open 24/7 for non-cash payments.
- In Person: The Public Service Centre located in City Hall is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. Payment methods include cash, cheque and debit. Credit cards are not accepted.
- Financial Institutions: Contact your financial institution for details.
- Mortgage Company: If your mortgage company will be paying property taxes to the City on your behalf, confirm payment details with them directly.
- Pre-authorized Payments: A convenient method to make monthly payments towards your 2027 property taxes; enrollment is required.
Home owner grant applications are processed through the Province’s online system at gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or by phone at 1.888.355.2700. Eligible property owners must complete their grant application each year.

Sign Up for e-Billing
You can access property tax account information and sign up for e-billing through MyCity Online. E-billing is convenient and eco-friendly, reducing paper waste.
Log in or set up a profile at MyCity Online.
Register your property tax account. If you own multiple properties, each property must be registered separately. Use your eight-digit folio number and your six-digit access code from your Property Tax Notice.
Select to receive your Property Tax Notice by email. You will receive next year’s notice by email.
