Penmar Community Arts Society will host Victoria Canada Day 2023 on Saturday, July 1. Visit Victoria Canada Day to view the full schedule of community-led Canada Day celebrations.  

 

Where:

BC Legislature lawn and Belleville Street 

Getting to and from the event: 

With large crowds expected, people are encouraged to walk, cycle or take public transit to the event. 



This event is located near Victoria's cycling network and close to multiple transit routes - check BC Transit for route options. On Canada Day, BC Transit will increase bus services to and from downtown with 32 additional buses.  



During the event, Capital Bike will be hosting a free, secure bike valet that can be accessed off Government Street on the B.C. Legislature lawn. On Saturday, July 1, the free Downtown Victoria Bike Valet will be open at City Hall from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Parking will be free at City parkades and at on-street meters.

Please note the following road closures: 

Saturday, July 1, 6 a.m. - midnight 

  • Belleville Street, from Government to Menzies (for set up and event) 

Saturday, July 1, 6 a.m. - midnight 

  • Menzies Street, from Belleville to Quebec 

Saturday, July 1, 5 p.m. - midnight 

  • Government Street from Belleville to Humboldt 
  • Humboldt Street from Government to Gordon 
  • Wharf Street, from Humboldt to Fort 

Saturday, July 1, 7 p.m. - midnight 

  • Government Street, from Belleville to Superior 
  • Belleville Street, from Douglas to Government 
  • Wharf Street, from Humboldt to Johnson 

Stay updated on road closures via the @VicPDCanada Twitter account using the #yyjtraffic hashtag. 

Roads will be reopened by the Victoria Police Department.
