Underway

Project scope

In May 2026, the City will be replacing an end-of-life water main on Arm Street between Craigflower Road and Selkirk Avenue. The project is expected to take three months to complete.

Why now?

Upgrading our underground assets helps serve our growing community, reduces future maintenance costs and protects critical infrastructure from earthquakes.

Project impacts:

While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:

  • Temporary loss of on-street parking
  • Road closure on Arm Street (local access maintained)
  • Occasional traffic restrictions on Craigflower Rd. or Selkirk Ave.
  • Pedestrian and cycling restrictions
  • Occasional brief interruptions to water service (additional notification
    provided 48 hours in advance)
  • Construction noise and vibrations
