Project scope

The City is upgrading a sanitary sewer pump station on Chatham Street. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2025.

Why now?

Upgrading our underground assets helps serve our growing community, reduces future maintenance costs and protects critical infrastructure from earthquakes and climate events. The program is partially funded by a grant provided through Infrastructure Canada’s Disaster Mitigation and Adaption Fund (DMAF).

Project impacts

While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:

  • Construction noise
  • Traffic, cycling and pedestrian restrictions
  • Temporary loss of some on-street parking
  • Road closure: Chatham St. closed at Store St. for the duration of construction. Local access via Government St.
