Project scope
In May 2026, the City will be replacing an end-of-life water main on Lockley Road. The project is expected to take six months to complete.
Why now?
Updating this critical water main now will reduce the risk of future breaks and help ensure the continued delivery of safe drinking water.
Project impacts
While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:
• Temporary loss of on-street parking
• Road closures along Lockley Road (local access maintained)
• Occasional traffic restrictions on intersecting roads
• Pedestrian and cycling restrictions
• Occasional brief interruptions to water service (additional notification provided 48 hours in advance)
• Construction noise and vibrations
