Project scope

The City is replacing an end-of-life sewer lift station on Superior Street near the Oswego Street intersection. The project is expected to be completed in mid-April 2026.

Why now?

Upgrading our underground assets helps serve our growing community, reduces future maintenance costs and protects critical infrastructure from earthquakes and climate events. 

The project is partially funded by a grant provided through Infrastructure Canada’s Disaster Mitigation and Adaption Fund (DMAF).

Project impacts

While work is underway you can expect the following impacts:

  • Construction noise
  • Traffic restrictions
  • Temporary loss of some on-street parking
  • Pedestrian and cycling restrictions
  • Tree removal (to be replaced when the project concludes)
  • Bus route detour
