5km Race starts at 9 a.m.
Sunday, October 8
Marathon/Half marathon starts 8 a.m.
8km race starts at 7:15 a.m
Getting There: Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or take transit to the event. Downtown will have limited vehicle access. Expect delays and check BC Transit alerts for bus route advisories. A free, secure bike valet provided by Capital Bike will be open at 6:30 a.m. at the Indigo parking lot at Superior/Menzies Street.
Road closures will be as follows:
Belleville Street from Oswego Street to Government Street will be closed from 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 7 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 8.
There will be limited vehicle access to the downtown core and rolling road closures along the race route on October 9 from 1 a.m. until 2 p.m. (with the exception of Dallas Road which will be closed until approximately 2 p.m.).
Access to the Coho will be maintained via Superior Street and Oswego Street, but please expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
Parking will not be allowed on the race routes and parked vehicles will be towed.
Once the final runners pass through each section, parking will reopen.
Getting Around James Bay on Sunday, October 8:
Before 8:30 a.m. – Head East on Simcoe Street or Toronto Street to Douglas Street and turn left.
After 8:30 a.m. –To get to Douglas Street, take Superior Street, Michigan Street, Toronto Street or Simcoe Street. Most roads will be open except around the perimeter of James Bay and the Inner Harbour.
