Residents and businesses are responsible for paying property taxes, utility bills, parking and bylaw tickets and other municipal fees on time to avoid late penalties.
Below are ways to pay and access your City accounts during any mail service disruption.
MyCity Online and E-Billing
MyCity Online enables Victoria residents and businesses to create a profile to register their City accounts and sign up for e-billing to receive utility bills, property tax notices and business and dog licence renewal notices by email. Property Tax Payments
Property tax notices were mailed in early May and payments are due on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The City offers many convenient options to pay property taxes, including online banking or at your financial institution, pre-authorized payments, at the City Hall drop box outside the Pandora Avenue entrance and in person at the Public Service Centre, weekdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Learn more at victoria.ca/propertytax or call 250.361.0228.
Utility Bills and Payments
Garbage, water and sewer utilities are billed every four months. To access your utility bill, create a MyCity Online profile to register your account, selecting e-billing to receive your utility bills by email. Call 250.361.0226 to find out your utility bill balance and get assistance setting up a MyCity Online profile.

Business Licences
Victoria business licences must be renewed annually. Renewal invoices are mailed each November and due by January 15 the following year. Businesses can create a MyCity Online profile to set up their account and sign up for e-billing to get renewal invoices by email.

Dog Licences
Dogs over four months of age must be licensed in Victoria. To license your dog for the first time, visit one of 11 designated locations in the city and bring neutering or spaying documentation for a reduced rate. Dog licences can be renewed at victoria.ca/payments or in person at one of the 11 designated locations.
