Project scope
The City is expanding its EV charging network by installing fast chargers on Fifth Street, Coldharbour Road, Yates Street and Waterfront Crescent.
We expect construction to take four weeks at each location, with the chargers available for use a few weeks later.
Work is expected to wrap up by fall 2025.
Why now?
Being able to easily charge an EV at or near your home is a big factor in choosing to own an EV. That's why the City is expanding our EV charging network with new fast chargers in neighbourhoods. This will make it easier for more people to switch to EVs - reducing carbon emissions and pollution.
Project impacts
While work is underway, you can expect the following temporary impacts:
- Changes to traffic patterns, parking or loading
- Noise, dust, debris and odours
- Construction and safety equipment
