It's time to chip in. The City’s 2026 branch chipping service starts Monday, February 23.

To have your branches picked up:

  • Leave them on the grass boulevard by 7 a.m. on Feb. 23.
  • Make only one pile (per household) no bigger than 1 x1 x 2.5 metres (4 x 4 x 8 feet) – about the amount a pickup truck can hold.
  • Only put out branches between 2.5 and 25 centimetres (1 to 10 inches) in diameter.
  • Stack them with cut ends together on the grass boulevard
  • Do not put them out more than two weeks before the pick-up start date.

Please note that trucks will make only one pass down each street. Victoria residents can also drop off branches and other garden waste for free year-round at the City’s Public Works Yard (417 Garbally Road) on Saturdays, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. (except statutory holidays).
