New Bus Shelters

Project status
Underway

Project scope

Almost 100 new shelters are being installed, including at 10 bus stops that didn’t previously have shelters. The other 88 bus shelters will replace outdated shelters.

Work is expected to be complete by the end of 2026.

Why now?

New bus shelters will make transit safer and more comfortable for people – at no cost to the City. The new shelters will have benches, be wheelchair accessible and meet current accessibility standards.

Project Impacts

While work is underway, you can expect the following temporary impacts:

  • Construction and safety equipment
  • Noise, dust, debris and odours

To prepare for installation, bus stops will temporarily be without a shelter for varying lengths of time. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
