Project scope
The City is completing routine and preventative maintenance on the Johnson Street Bridge for about six weeks starting in July. Work will include annual pressure washing, followed by coating touchups to the steel structure.
Why now?
This work helps maintain the life of the bridge by protecting key structural elements from wear and environmental exposure.
Project impacts
While work is underway you can expect the following minor impacts:
- Increased activity
- Occasional lane reductions (two-way traffic maintained)
- Temporary adjustments to pedestrian pathways
