    Biography

    Marg Gardiner has 15 years of active community service, working on behalf of Victorians in the areas of public safety, accessibility, land use, economic development, sheltering, City parks, streets and other issues affecting the lives of Victorians.

    Marg’s education includes a B.Sc. (Chemistry) and an M.B.A. (Public Management). Her experience in regulatory enforcement, program management and data analysis, brings transferable knowledge and skills to enhance the governance work of Council. 

    Marg is a strong advocate for open government and has been a tireless advocate for authentic consultation and transparent decision making. She opposes influence of special interest groups and is committed to being an objective and responsive champion of good government.

    The theme of her 2022 election campaign was “Victoria would be so much cleaner and inviting, so much safer and prosperous, if the well-being and interests of those who live here become Council’s priorities.”
