Love our local libraries? Looking for a volunteer opportunity? The City of Victoria is recruiting for three citizen appointees to serve a two-year term on the Greater Victoria Public Library Board.
The Board provides joint management, maintenance, improvement and operation of 12 library branches in Greater Victoria, including the Central Library in downtown Victoria and the sxʷeŋxʷəŋ təŋəxʷ James Bay Branch.
The citizen appointee must have resided in the City of Victoria for at least six months preceding the appointment.
The Board consists of 19 members, including one Council member and four citizen appointees from the City of Victoria.
