As freezing temperatures and snow continue, the City’s overnight emergency warming centre remains open Tuesday night.
The warming centre will be open tonight from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cook Street Village Activity Centre, 380 Cook St.
City warming centres are opened when all other shelters are full, exposure risks are active and there are people in need with nowhere else to seek shelter.
Check victoria.ca/news for updates.
Current shelter and warming centre information is available at shelters.bc211.ca/map.
We also encourage people to check on friends, family and neighbours who may need assistance during winter weather. Visit VictoriaReady.ca to learn more about how to prepare.
