A new detour route will be in place on the Galloping Goose Regional Trail near Cecelia Ravine Park starting Sept. 23. The change will support coordinated City of Victoria and Capital Regional District infrastructure upgrades, including sanitary sewer replacement, trail widening and lighting improvements.
The trail will remain closed between Viaduct Park and Dupplin Road through spring 2027, with no public access through the construction area. While the closure area is largely the same as the current BC Hydro-related trail closure, it will be extended slightly to accommodate this next phase of construction.
Trail users should plan extra travel time and follow posted detour signage.
