City Council has allocated up to $100,000 from the federal-provincial restart funding to offer this one-time grant program to deliver mobile hygiene and other social services to people sheltering outdoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Updates from the City
October 2, 2020 marked the final Facebook Live address, started at the beginning of the pandemic to provide the public with updates on the City’s response to COVID-19. The ‘What’s up at Council’ video series will resume to take its place, where the City will continue to keep residents informed about ongoing pandemic recovery and other Council business, along with opportunities for the public to stay involved and share input with City Council.

What You Can Do
There are five things you can do to keep yourself and others safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
You can also protect yourself and others by:
- Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Coughing or sneezing into your sleeve and not your hands
- Staying home if you are sick to avoid spreading illness to others
