Kemi Craig is hosting a second experimental workshop about developing film with indigo and other plant-based materials. Kemi is a woman of African descent who grew up in South Carolina where indigo is of historical significance for Black cultures. As an artist working in analogue film, which has also deeply affected ideas of Blackness across cultural spectrums, Kemi is interested in exploring relationships between image making and indigo and other plants from her cultural memory. All materials will be supplied. No experience with dark room processes is needed for this free event. Space is limited. Please RSVP.
